 RCI Romania, a financial division of the Renault group, financed over 34,000 Dacia, Renault and Nissan cars in 2008 (through leasing and credit). RCI’s financing market share against the group’s total sales in 2008 rose to 31.3%.
RCI Romania provides credit services partnered by BRD – Groupe Société Générale, as well as financial leasing and operational leasing services. RCI’s leasing operations in 2008 rose by 3.27% against the previous year, with 19,800 contracts signed throughout the same year. In addition, RCI’s leasing market share stands for 50% of all leasing contracts concluded by Dacia in Romania.
“Our results are due to new financing products and promotions, to improved automatic admission of credit files at the point of sale, along with our constant attention focused on client needs and market evolution. In 2008, we launched a series of new services, such as RCI – Life insurance, the RCI- Easy service for maintenance and tire services, and the RCI – Road assistance service with replacement vehicle. All of them may be attached both to the financial and operational leasing contracts, resulting into a competitive advantage on the Romanian automotive financing market”, says Philippe Buros, General Manager of RCI Romania.
The services provided by RCI address clients, natural and moral persons, of the group’s brands present on the Romanian market. Clients can choose from a panel of car maintenance services under contract or for road assistance services with replacement vehicle, as the case may be.
The RCI life insurance takes all non-payment financial hazards in case of unforeseen events leading to the contract holder’s physical inability to have revenue. Consequently, RCI services offer a host of financial and logistic benefits, whereby clients can lower maintenance cost and protect themselves against unpleasant surprises that may occur during voyages, with the help of the Road assistance service, with replacement vehicle.
By the end of 2009, RCI Leasing Romania IFN aims to finance a third of Renault Romania’s sales in Romania and develop products and services allowing it to reinforce its leadership on the leasing financing segment for Dacia, Renault, and Nissan.
RCI Romania is the subsidiary of RCI Banque, a financial division of the Renault group. In Romania, RCI Banque is established via three companies: RCI Leasing Romania IFN for financial leasing services, RCI Financing Romania for operation leasing and credit services, RCI Broker Insurance for car and life insurance for the RCI leasing contracts.
